Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you utilize trackaroo® hardware or digital platforms, we collect specific data points critical for operational safety and service delivery. This is not casual data collection; it is telemetry required for survival in harsh environments.

Device Telemetry Hardware status, battery levels, and environmental sensor readings.
  • check_circle
Account Credentials Basic identification required to sync your hardware with the cloud platform.

2. How We Use Information

We utilize collected data strictly for operational integrity. Your telemetry is used to improve map accuracy, predict hardware maintenance cycles, and ensure rapid SOS response capabilities. We do not sell location data to third-party marketers. Our focus is the Australian outdoors, not advertising.

3. Location Data Handling

CRITICAL NOTICE: Constant GPS tracking is fundamental to trackaroo® functionality. By activating the device, you consent to continuous spatial logging. This log is encrypted at rest and in transit.

4. Data Security

All data is encrypted using AES-256 on-device. Route and location data remains local unless shared through mesh networking features, which use end-to-end encryption.

5. Your Rights

Under Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information at any time through the app settings or by contacting our Data Protection Officer at privacy@trackaroo.com.au.
